Assunta’s Restaurant is named after Assunta Vitagliano, also known as Aunt Susie. Assunta was born in Naples Italy. With her Assunta brought her authentic Italian recipes and her natural talent for mouth watering dishes. In 1988 her nephew Kevin Young founded Assunta’s restaurant with Assunta as the chef. Preparing and serving authentic Italian cuisine while bringing Napolitan family like dining to the NorthShore.

In 1992 Assunta became the proud new owner and remained as the chef and her daughter Ann as the dining room manager. In 2002 Assunta retired and Ann became the proud new owner continuing to provide the authentic Napolitan dining and family like atmosphere which was passed on from her mother Assunta and her family in Naples. At Assunta’s you can enjoy mouth watering Napolitan meals, Italian wine, and Napolitan family oriented staff. All of our customers are welcomed and treated like family. Assunta’s staff is fun and entertaining, come solo or with a group you will feel like you are dining at a quaint little restaurant on a hill side in Naples.
